Buscando referências na Mitologia Grega, onde nossas pulsões libidinais não eram proibidas, usamos nomes de três deusas como referencia para algumas das nossas peças, Afrodite (deusa da beleza), Vênus (deusa do sexo) e Hedonê (deusa do prazer). Desde Columbus no Renascimento, acreditava-se, que o clitóris era o órgão pelo qual as mulheres gozavam. Essa afirmação foi comprovada por razões anatômicas e fisiológicas descobertas onde o clitóris seria a região não apenas mais rica em terminações nervosas como também mais vascularizadas e, portanto, a mais sensível da genitália do corpo feminino. Com os estímulos externos realizados a partir dos movimentos musculares, o aparelho nervoso livra-se desses estímulos dando a sensação de prazer. Por conta da opressão sexual feminina trazida para a sociedade no século XIX, com a intenção de coibir o movimento feminista, quisemos homenagear a mulher com criação de da Hedonê, uma poltrona que busca a satisfação do prazer feminino a partir dos seus 2 principais pontos libidinais: o clitóris e o ponto G através da estimulação externa de ambos.
With reference to Paul Nacke’s theories about Narcissism, an attitude of a person who treats his own body in the same way as the body of a sexual object is treated; with contemplation of the self, through to complete self-satisfaction, we create Libidinous Objects. From the time of the Renaissance period, it was discovered that the clitoris was the main female organ in which females received sexual pleasure. These anatomical and physiological findings allowed for the discovery that the clitoris was not only richer in nerve endings but also more vascularised, making it the most sensitive part of the genitalia. With the external stimuli made from the muscular movements, the nervous apparatus creates these stimuli, giving the sensation of pleasure. Because of historical female sexual oppression, which was widely historically documented in the Nineteenth Century, with the intention of curbing the feminist movement, we wanted to honour women with the creation of Hedonê, an armchair that celebrate the satisfaction of female pleasure from its two main libidinal points: the clitoris and the Gräfenberg spot through external stimulation, whilst creating connotations of a blossoming flower, celebrating how natural the sex drive is.
