Apresentamos os Cinco Sentidos por meio de objetos chamados Caixas dos Sentidos, que despertam estímulos instintivos, envolvendo o sistema nervoso e promovendo um fluxo sensorial contínuo, intensificando assim a percepção de cada sentido.
Na Caixa Tato colocamos 4 gavetas onde introduz-se a mão. Nelas, recebemos estímulos a partir das texturas apresentadas. Já na Caixa Visão buscamos transmitir a libido a partir da curiosidade do olho mágico. Apresentamos cenas sensuais atrás de que remetem aos momentos eróticos já vistos ou vivenciados. A Caixa Audição apresenta formas distintas de uso da pulsão libidinal, permitindo a imersão do participante em uma estória com sons libidinosos gravados no sistema binaural. Com a Caixa Olfato estudamos os aromas que são propositadamente inseridos no nosso dia buscando intervir nas suas referências cerebrais em busca da pulsão sexual. A Caixa Paladar merece uma reflexão. Existem fisiologicamente formas de se atingir a libido através dos alimentos, porém, o que buscamos com esse projeto são as referências do paladar para atingir a essência libidinal que está no nosso consciente. Percebemos que os alimentos libidinais são simplesmente alimentos que aparentam visualmente órgãos genitais, ou os que comemos em momentos libidinosos da nossa vida. Tendo em vista a importância das referências psicossomáticas, decidimos por apresentar a primeira referência do paladar libidinal, o fruto proibido. Assim buscamos uma referência religiosa para apresentar a maça, o fruto do pecado.
We present the Five Senses through objects called Boxes of Senses, which awaken instinctual stimuli, engaging the nervous system and encouraging continuous sensory flow, thereby enhancing the perception of each sense.
The Touch box includes four drawers, each asking the participant to interact with different textures associated with pleasure. The Vision box uses the nuanced peephole in order to transmit the connotations of pleasure through optics by presenting erotic and sensual scenes and patterns, each experienced in some way by the viewer. Shown in the style of typical erotic film but shrouded to retain sensuality and mystery. The Audition box allows viewer to be immersed in a thrill of libidinous sounds recorded in binaural system. The Scent box studies the multiple aromas that we come across daily and looks at how they instantly evoke the natural cerebral instinct of your sexual drive. The Palate box requires the sub-conscious reflection into memory and the sensation that can be achieved by mental stimulation alone, which often occurs when food resembles genitalia, or when we eat in over-stimulated times in our lives. Given the importance of the psychosomatic references, we present the first reference of the libidinal palate, the forbidden fruit – the apple; the ultimate icon of religious sin and temptation.
