Um ovo, um organismo, uma vida, um mundo.
O ovo representa o começo de algo sem fim para alguém ou algum lugar. É a primeira interação que todo ser vivo tem com o mundo.
A vida no mundo é cheia de conexões. Todo ser vivo utiliza seu ambiente como recurso para a continuidade da espécie. Estudando como se estrutura a biodiversidade das ilhas Maldivas, a nossa atenção centrou-se nas aves Dhon'dheeni, ou Garajau-branco. Eles têm sido uma representação maravilhosa de como usam o meio ambiente para viver e a autoproteção de sua espécie.

A andorinha-do-mar branca é uma pequena ave marinha encontrada nos oceanos tropicais do mundo. Eles são conhecidos por colocar um único ovo em uma pequena junta ou depressão de pequenos galhos. Eles colocam seus ovos sem ninho para evitar comportamentos de predadores, como corvos e até ratos, que evitam sentar ou subir em pequenos galhos. A ideia de colocar suas crenças em um ovo chama nossa atenção para o único mundo que temos.
Esta instalação mostra a fragilidade da vida e do planeta. Nossa vida é um equilíbrio inst
ável. Esse é o objetivo da instalação, ao observar causa insegurança, ao subir a instalação ganha equilíbrio. Ao entrar no ovo, tudo fica calmo, podendo contemplar o planeta.

The egg represents the beginning of something endless for someone or somewhere. It’s the first interaction every living being has with the world.
World life is filled of connections. Every living creature uses its’ environment as resources for species’ continuation. Studying how the biodiversity of Maldives islands is structured, our attention was focused on the Dhon'dheeni birds, or White Tern. They have been a wonderful representation of how they use the environment for living and their species’ self-protection.

Studying how the biodiversity of Maldives islands is structured, our attention was focused on the Dhon'dheeni birds, or White Tern. They have been a wonderful representation of how they use the environment for living and their species’ self-protection.
The White Tern is a small seabird found across the tropical oceans of the world. They are well-known for laying a single egg in a small joint or depression of small branches. They lay their eggs without a nest to avoid the predators’ behaviors, such as crows and even rats, which avoid sitting or climbing small branches. The idea of putting their believes in one egg gives our attention to the only world we have.
This installation shows the fragility of life and planet. Our life is an unstable balance. This is the purpose of the installation, when observing, it causes insecurity, when going up the installation gains balance. By entering the egg, everything becomes calm, and able to contemplate the planet.
